Some of my most fond memories were made at Pebbles Beach. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I always have such a happy feeling whenever I go to that beach. When you see Pebbles Beach it will definitely remind you of one of the beaches you see on postcards- with its white sands and clear waters. You can't help but feel like you're taking in a piece of paradise. Pebbles Beach is located on the South Coast of Barbados and is very easy to get to. No need for maps this time lol! The tide is usually very calm at this beach, and even when high tide is approaching, the water is still calm enough to swim in. Pebbles is definitely a family friendly beach. At any given time, you will see groups of people taking in the sun, playing on the sand and cooling out in the water.
There are a number of activities that you can do at Pebbles Beach. Located close to the beach are 6 sunken ship wrecks, this makes for great for scuba diving and snorkelling. Stand up paddle boarding and kayaking are also a favourite to locals and tourist alike. The Barbados Cruising Club, is right next to the beach for those of you who may want to have a nice sail. If you decide to take an early morning stroll on the beach, you will often find the horse groomers taking the race horses out for a sea bath. Even the animals get to enjoy such a great beach! :)
Last and by no means least, my favourite thing about Pebbles Beach is... CUZ'S FISH STAND! Now I'm not sure what the cook's at Cuz do differently to other places, but these are by far the best fish sandwiches you will get! Thinking about these sandwiches makes my mouth water EVERY time! I can eat 2 or 3 of these delicious sandwiches at a time and I have no guilt in saying that LOL! The line can be long sometimes, but I promise you, its worth the wait.
Sitting back in your beach chair, a Cuz fish sandwich in one hand and a rum punch in the other- that is peak Tropical Living!
